The government telecom company BSNL is the only company that is facing the highest competition from private companies’ data war. However, now it seems that the company is taking several steps to strengthen its position in the Indian telecom sector. The main reason behind the company’s downside is not to be 4G networks. However, now the company is testing some 4G networks in some places. Now, the company is giving free data on upgrading SIM to deliver information of BSNL 4G to the people.
According to the news of TelecomTalk, the company has recently started giving 4G SIM cards in Chennai Circle. Under the 4G SIM upgrade offer, BSNL is offering 2GB of data free for every customer who is buying 4G USIM cards for Rs 20. BSNL 4G services have started in cities like Gandhidham and Anjar in Gujarat from November 26, 2018. After this the 3G network will not work, however 2G networks will continue to work in all the handsets.
BSNL 4G USIM upgrade
Customers can upgrade their existing 2G / 3G SIM to 4G SIM and can experience 4G services.If you have an old SIM card, you will be able to access 2G or 3G networks only. To avoid this, you can go to BSNL office in this area and take a BSNL 4G SIM card. Also, 2GB of data is being provided free of cost to the customers who are upgrading the 4G SIM card to the company.
Over the last few months, BSNL has been testing its 4G services at different places in the country. At present, the number of BSNL’s 4G user base is quite limited. Talking about commercial launch, it can be launched in the first half of 2019.
